Donor Privacy Policy

PURPOSE: To clearly articulate the manner in which the Idaho Youth Ranch will manage and protect donor information.

• Prohibition Against Sharing Donor Information
  • The Idaho Youth Ranch respects the privacy of our donors and is committed to the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in all organizational fundraising efforts
  • We will not share, loan, trade, rent or sell information about our donors or constituents to any other non-affiliated organization.
• Use of Donor Information
  • We collect information about our donors and constituents for our own internal use.
    1. This information includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and mailing preferences
    2. We also maintain a record of every donor’s giving history.
  • This information is kept on file so that we can thank donors in a timely and accurate manner, and to comply with IRS regulations.
  • It is also used for purposes of analysis, budget projections, and strategic planning.
• Protection of Donor Information
  • All information about our donors and constituents is password protected and may only be accessed by individuals who need such information to perform their assigned duties for the Idaho Youth Ranch.
    1. This includes those who prepare mailings, enter or analyze data, visit or communicate with donors and other constituents, plan organizational events, work in a fundraising capacity for the organization or prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Maintaining Anonymity
  • The wishes of donors who prefer to remain anonymous will always be honored.
