We believe that "one man's junk is another man's treasure". However, some junk truly belongs at the landfill and not at our thrift stores. Accepting items that can't be resold in our thrift stores would place a financial burden on the Idaho Youth Ranch and our programs for at-risk youth and families. Please donate “gently used items” that are appropriate for resale at our thrift stores.
We are happy to accept these items in re-sellable condition:
Here is a list of items that we can no longer accept at our thrift store donation drop sites and distribution centers. Thank you!
You can arrange for donations to be picked up in the Boise area (Boise, Garden City, Meridian and Eagle),
it can take up to three weeks for us to pick up your items so please plan accordingly. To maximize our efficiencies and help us save on the high cost of fuel, we encourage you to deliver small donations to the store closest to you, or to our new distribution center (Nagel Center) located at 5465 W. Irving Street in Boise near Saint Alphonsus and the I-184 Curtis Road exit. Your generous donations help at-risk youth and their families throughout Idaho.
Donors who itemize on their federal returns may be eligible for both a federal and state tax deduction for the fair market value of their contribution. Idaho taxpayers may, in addition, be eligible for a tax credit for 50% of that value, up to the legal limit. Please consult your tax professional about your specific situation.
The Idaho Youth Ranch Business Contributions Program gives Idaho businesses the opportunity to support at-risk youth and their families by contributing cash and/or non-cash donations. Every contribution, large or small, helps the Idaho Youth Ranch accomplish its mission.
If you would like to learn more about our programs or contribute to the Idaho Youth Ranch, please contact our Business Contributions Representative Stacey Moody at (208) 954-3573 or email@example.com.
